DAILY THOUGHTS AND VERSES

HEART—THOUGHTS WORDS—DEEDS FOCUS—ENERGY PASSION--CONTROL

Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, strength. Love your neighbor as yourself. Mark 12:30-31

The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself in love. Galatians 5:6b

Love is walking in obedience to God's commands. His command is to walk in love. (The only proper motive) 2 John 1:6

Love is patient and kind. Love is not envious, boastful, proud, rude, self-seeking, easily angered, a keeper of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with truth. Always protects, trusts, hopes, and perseveres. Love never fails. 1 Corinthians 13

Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:44-45

Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God's holy people. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. Ephesians 4:31- 5:4

And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. No one has ever seen God; but if we love each other, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. Love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment, because in this world we are like him. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The man who fears is not made perfect in love. We love because he first loved us. If anyone says, I love God, yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. And he has given us this command. Whoever loved God must also love his brother. Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well. This how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands. This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of God has overcome the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. 1 John 4:16--5:5

TO LIVE AND EFFECTIVE AND PRODUCTIVE LIFE (Saddest day of your life will be when you are no longer productive)For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; knowledge; self-control; perseverance; godliness; brotherly kindness; and love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep your from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 1:5-8

Be joyful (grateful) always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. Ephesians 4:29

Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. Such "wisdom" does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, of the devil. For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and evil practice. But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness. James 3:13-18

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice. Let your gentleness be evident to all. The lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or hear from me, or seen in me--put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:4-9

The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with it passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.
Galatians 5:22-26

Blessed are the poor in spirit, those who mourn, the meek, those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, the merciful, the pure in heart, the peacemakers, and those who are persecuted. For theirs is the kingdom of heaven, they will be comforted, they will inherit the earth, for they will be filled, for they will be show mercy, for they will see God, for they will be called sons of God, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:3-10

Young men, in the same way be submissive to those who are older. Clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because "God opposes the proud, but give grace to the humble". Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's might hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he care for you. 1 Peter 5 5-7

Humility is no thinking less of yourself; it is thinking about yourself less. Humility is thinking more of others. Humble people are so focused on serving others, they don't think of themselves. (Purpose Driven Life)

A man can do nothing better than to eat and drink and find satisfaction in his work. This I see is from the hand of God for without him, who can eat or find enjoyment. To the man who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness. Ecclesiastes 2:24-26

When God give any man wealth and possessions, and enables him to enjoy them, to accept his lot and be happy in his work--this is a gift of God. He seldom reflects on the days of his life because Good keeps him occupied with gladness of heart. Ecclesiastes 6:16-20
